NACE International Founding Malaysia Section (FMS) was established back in March 1995 as part of the East Asia & Pacific Area.
The efforts of our dedicated members have grown the section and it now conducts vibrant activities, such as conferences, seminar and educational courses.
The section promotes corrosion awareness and technological development to public and private sectors.
NACE FMS sponsors 2 Student Sections being Malaysia Student Section & Western Australia Student Section, with this it is aimed at encouraging the young building corrosion engineers to excel and fight against corrosion.
Words from the Committee
VICE PRESIDENT OF NACE INTERNATIONAL
I know there is a lot on everyone's plate and I wanted to make sure this did not slip past.
After years in the making, NACE and SSPC members are being asked to vote to combine the two organizations. This is great news for BP and our industry. Bringing together the expertise and resources of both NACE and SSPC will be transformative for the corrosion industry and its members. A combined organization will simplify and strengthen standards, education, training, certification, and professional networks globally.
The boards of both organizations have already voted to move forward. As member driven organizations, now is the time for the members to vote. To help you prepare, NACE and SSPC compiled a list of questions received from the members of both organizations which can be reviewed here. If you do not see an answer to your questions, please contact me.
Beginning today, April 3, members from each organization should receive an email with voting instructions from "email@example.com" (please note this address in case it goes to your spam/quarantine folder). You will have until April 17 to cast your vote. It only takes a few minutes to vote and I would encourage our NACE and SSPC members to support this important initiative. Please share this note with your teams and any extended network that you believe has NACE and/or SSPC members.
